January and February has been pretty much boring for me. Since my fracture, I haven't been able to get out and enjoy life. Now that spring is springing with the new flower sprouts in the ground, I'm getting a little excited about getting out and doing some shoveling and replanting. (oops i cant do that.) I'll have to have terry shovel for me.
I want to get out and see if my tulips are coming out of the ground. but the lawn is too unlevel. I don't dare venture out yet. Spring brings new growth, and new beginnings and new hope.

12 Ways to Say "Happy Spring!"

# On your way home from work, pick up some flowers or small flowering plants for each child's bedroom.

# Let tonight's meal be the first picnic of the season--even if you're dining on a blanket in the living room.

# Write a spring poem and tuck it under your child's pillow to find at bedtime.

# Create a list with your child of all the spring treats the earth delivers--robins' eggs, green grass, warmer air, blue skies, purple crocus...

# Throw open the windows and imagine that the breeze, even a cold one, is blowing out stale energy and old habits that you would like to release. This can be the day to spring-clean your psyche.

# Get out your favorite mail order catalogs and have each child select a new bathing suit, shorts, or an outrageous beach towel.

# Create a spring parade around the neighborhood. Give the kids markers and a piece of poster board to make a sign that says, SPRING HAS SPRUNG!

# Have breakfast for dinner tonight and scramble up some eggs, the universal symbol of rebirth.

# Create a collage of your family's dream garden using pictures you and your child cut out of magazines and catalogs.

# Write your own myth. What might Father Winter say to Sister Spring as she knocks upon his heavy wooden door? Does he want to leave yet? How does Sister Spring make her way in?

# As the sun goes down, light lots of candles, turn up your favorite music, and dance together to celebrate the beginning of spring.

# Head over to the nearest playground after dinner regardless of your children's ages. Swing into the spring air, even if there is snow on the ground.

today i was going down the stairs and leaning my right hand on the chair rail on the wall and the other on the hand railing, my right hand slipped off the little edge and made me loose balance and i fell to my knees to the floor from the second step from the bottom. well you can imagine i scraped my elbows on the walls or floor. i was crying and just lay on the floor for a few minutes. The kids just stared at me. Jacob finally called their dad. I crawled to the couch. I'm tired of this. I found out my bill is about 900.$ from the two Dr.'s i have visited. I'm not happy.

I did it now, what will it be next time? hopefully not!!

I was on the way out to my car after dropping of my neighbor girl to kindergarten. I just had untangled from the leash with my dog, and started to walk on the same sidewalk I went in on, on my way to my jeep, The dog was running on the ice,( i dont know if he thought he could beat me to the jeep or not) but I pulled back on him to slow down, and right about that time i fell, my legs just went all directions trying to catch my self, but then i found myself lying on my right leg with my foot twisted the opposite way it should have went, and suddenly i started to scream in pain and started to cry alittle, as i looked around to see if someone saw me, i saw all these cars in a line up dropping off their kids and just looking at me like, (oh she fell, oh well i see that every day) i dont need to help. They just dont want to get involved! thats all. Then i looked towards the school doors and someone was coming out and she asked me if i was ok, and i sad NO! I can't get up it hurts sooooo bad i think i broke my foot! she went in and told the office, Then all the office people came running out. they got a wheel chair and wheeled me into the office to see what to do and see how i was. In the mean while, my foot was swelling up on the ankle bone with my shoe on. They then gave me ice to lay it on, until i got taken home by a sweet neighbor and friend. She helped me alot that day. I layed around for two days and reading the scriptures and the book Christmas jars. Then by the time friday came i had gotten an appointment with the Dr. and found that it was in fact a break of the lower fibula bone, the bone that follows down next to the large main bone down to the ankle. it is fractured with a small separation down by the ankle. The Dr. sent me home with my exrays and a brace boot to my knee. I dont think I want to walk on the ice ever again. My next Dr. Appointment is next tues to a orthapedic sergen to give him the exrays and tell me what they need to do for me. I guess this is a good way to get out of ice skating, snow skiing, or anything that is dangerous to my health. I've never been the dare devil type anyway.
Oh by the way, Thank you for the meals those who have brought us scrumptious meals.

Holidays advertisement Annoyances

Oh the Holidays! This really annoyed me at the time of Christmas. I noticed all the stores had the Christmas Decorations up at the end of Oct 2008. And then the songs came on about that time too, But they skipped Thanksgiving season and skipped to Christmas.
Why in all these years no one has come up with a song about thanksgiving in honor of our pioneers? and being Thankful for our lives and Families?
I guess i'll never understand that one.
And also I can't believe Valentines is being sold in the stores already a month before it's here. Pretty soon they will have the Saint patricks decorations up then Easter a whole month before they are here!
Any one like to comment on this issue?

Family Fun

MERRY CHRISTMAS to all!
Wow! this year has come and now its going to be gone in a short time. I hope this year has brought all of you a happy year and new excitement.
This year started out with Terry celebrating his first year with Sears Holdings, as a Technician fixing Refridgerators. As the year has gone, he has expanded to the cooking Department, which includes stoves and microwaves. He likes his job, most of the time when people aren't complaining to him too much. He is driving all the time, so it worries me when he's on the road. He had a recent run in with the law just because he made a split desicion to turn off the freeway. Well, you know what happened, yes he got a ticket! well it put us in a little bit of a bind for Christmas, he also had to take the time out to go to thier driving safety class.
Things are ok now.
Our neighbors must think we are rich, he is always getting packages from the UPS for his Inventory for his Sears Van.

In june we adopted a small dog from the shelter, we named him sonny. He is dashund/sheltie mix. He's adorable. HE came mostly potty trained. He has been so much fun for the kids this year. It follows me every where in the house, if i go from one room to another, he will follow me, watch to see if im staying there, then settle down on the floor and relax awhile.
During the year, Terry got his first vacation time so we took some time in june to go to Palisade Lake down close to Manti. While we were there, we went to the Manti Pageant the last night they had a show. It was great! and cold. We had the dog with us, it was his first time to get to know us since we adopted him. He did very well.

Our kids are growing up , Stephanie is 15years old and in 9th grade, struggling in a few classes as they are going to get tougher when she gets into high school next year. She would like to learn how to drive very much! but we told her she needs to get her grades up.
she likes anime books, Tinkerbell and fairys, Mermaids, and friends!

Jacob is 11 now, and in the 5th grade. He is doing very well in school getting all A's and B's. He likes Mario, Walle, cars characters, spiderman, sonic chronical, and Oragomi folding paper into shapes. Jacob has also stepped over the bridge to boy scouts! and he is enjoying it! except for the cold camp outs! Because of his Diabetes, it is hard to keep the insulin from freezing when your out in a bunch of snow.

Justin is 9 now and is in 3rd grade and hates school at all costs! he always says why do I have to do homework! I hate it!!
He likes to do Oragomi to fold paper into shapes, and make paper airplanes, He likes legos, He likes making diferent creations out of them and getting a photo of them.

Cindy has been trying to start a photography business on line with dreamstime.com and she has had 60 photos accepted, although she has not made money enough to make it a profit yet. she likes to sew and do scrapbooking when she has the time. since the kids need to be taken here and there, time is short.
Cindy is the only one that seems to do all the laundry and the dishes and keeps up with the house, even though it looks cluttered. She has a saying she likes she hangs up that states ("A home should be clean enough to be healthy and dirty enough to be happy") she has to keep reminding herself that its ok how things are until the kids move out then the house will be spotless!
She loves her family which comes first in her life. She has had a difficult time communicating with one of her siblings, because of several misunderstandings and selfish ways on one side, Cindy just can't convince that person to think any differently. This sibling feels she is always left out of anything concerning with mom, well we just can't be around or talk to someone that has an air about them that gives us a negative feeling or energy. So we stay away.
One of her siblings, she has had good conversations with on the MSN on line communication. its a great way to catch up on someone that lives far away.
Cindys mother has gotten i'll this year and is really weak and does not feel good about staying alone in her home, so she has been staying with her brother for a while now.
She is thinking possibly about selling her home and and her belongings and move into a smaller place with health care help.

Terry and Cindy has been Primary teachers for the valiant 12 class this year. Terry was also called to the Elders Quorum Presidency in our ward .

We hope every one will have a wonderful Christmas and a Happy new year.
Encircle your lives with the Savior all year. We have been blessed to still have a job in our home. We can all be gratefull for the things we have that Christ has given us. Give all you can to everyone in your lives.
Love Terry Cindy and the kids
